Who are we?

The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy is a new national organization of law students, law professors, judges, practicing lawyers and others. We seek to revitalize and transform the legal debate, from law school classrooms to federal courtrooms, to the congressional hearing rooms where judicial nominations are weighted. We are working to restore the fundamental principles of respect for human dignity, protection of individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice to their rightful, and traditionally central, place in American law -- principles embodied in our Constitution and by the jurisprudence of such justices as John Marshall, Louis Brandeis, William Brennan, Potter Stewart, Thurgood Marshall, and Harry Blackmun.

What we do

In order to aid in the restoration of the fundamentals our organization stands on, we will present programs to promote the wareness of the substantial issues affecting the lives of people here at home and around the world.

While some may put a label on who we are, our objective is to promote the ideals that this country once adhere to: human dignity, equality of every human being, and access to justice.

Join Us!

Our goal is that you will find a group that prides itself on confronting issues that affect each eand every American on a regular basis. We hope that you will see for youself that we desire to live out what President John F. Kennedy challenged us to do when he said, "One man can make a difference and every man should try."

If you want to get involved come to our next meeting! Also, be sure and sign up for the ACS email discussion list.
