I passed
By jmb | September 6, 2006
This is an update to an earlier JMBzine post

I got my score yesterday on the MPRE and I thankfully passed (Oklahoma’s passing score is a 75), so I should be a lawyer very soon.
Actually sooner than I expected because I thought I wouldn’t get my bar license until Sept. 26th (when they have the swearing in ceremony) but since I already had passed the bar back in February they are going to let me affirm the oath (I’m not swearing for reasons of faith and conscience — see this post for more discussion about this) next Tuesday!
As a result of this much accelerated situation, I’m gearing up quickly to get my law practice up and running. I’ll still be working part-time for my father’s bankruptcy law firm, but I’ll also be starting up my own solo practice that will focus on GI rights and military law. There’s a lot that I have to do in very short order but it is coming together so I think I’ll be good to go.
As for the new practice, I’ll have a website for it online on Tuesday at www.girightslawyer.com.

Yay for you! Don’t know how you manage with things moving so fast, but I guess it’s all good.
