      Quote of the Day

      By jmb | November 19, 2003

It’s a helluva thing to kill a man…you take away all he’s got and all he’s ever gonna have.”

      - Clinton Eastwood in the movie Unforgiven

That quote expresses why I find the idea of killing (in any circumstance, even war and the death penalty) to be such an awful thing. The finality of it seems to be such horrible tragedy. You never know how someone could change for the better. To kill someone, even the most depraved, is to give up on the idea that God could change them for the better. To me it is the ultimate act of disbelief in God’s transformational power.
